Carol Ann Fagan

Mrs. Carol Ann Fagan, widow of Thomas Allen Fagan, of Charleston, South Carolina, and New Castle, NH, passed away at The Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC on January 9, 2013. Carol was born March 28, 1933 in Portsmouth, NH and grew up in New Castle, N.H. She was formerly a self-employed restaurant owner and attended Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church in Winnsboro, SC. She retired in Charleston, SC.

Carol was the daughter of Homer William Burns and Anna Katherine Harris. She is survived by her two children, Linda Ann Poplin and her husband Woodrow Merritt of Charleston, SC and Gregory Allen Fagan of East Ridge, TN, grandsons Bradley Merritt Poplin and Colby Alexander Poplin, sister Brenda Katherine Canino and husband Michael Anthony of Highlands Ranch, CO, brother-in-law James Lilakos of Dover, NH, nieces Kathy Lilakos Cushing and husband John Christopher of Lynnfied, MA, and Karen Brenda Lilakos of Dover, NH, nephew Kevin James Lilakos, and great nieces and nephews, Kristina Katherine Cushing, Natasha Ann Cushing, Katelyn Day Root and Stephen Eastman Root, IV.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth, NH with funeral services following at 1:00PM. Burial will immediately follow in the Burns family plot in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Greenland, NH.
