Corie A. Jabre, 30, of Portsmouth, died unexpectedly from complications of pneumonia on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
She was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, on March 16, 1982, the daughter of Shakrallah and Patricia (Mattingly) Jabre.
Corie was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and Empire Beauty School in Portsmouth. She was recently a hairdresser at New Reflections until she left be a stay at home mom with her twin babies.
Corie was a loving mother, daughter and sister. She was a member of Moms of Multiples and Seacoast Breast Feeding Association. Corie had a light hearted and happy personality even when things were difficult.
She is survived by her children, Shakrallah Chance Jabre, Stephan Bassett, baby twins, Liam and Brian Stonis all of Portsmouth; her parents of Portsmouth; sisters, Brandie Jabre, Rachel Ricker, and Logan Ringenberg; grandmother, Shirley Corley; grandfather, Ballard Mattingly; husband, John Stonis; best friend, Alicia Webber; aunts, Shawn Mattingly and Susie Welch; uncles, Jamie Mattingly, George and David Jabre. Corie was predeceased by grandmother, Shirley Mattingly; aunt, Kathleen Mack; and her baby cousin, Christine Mack.
Memorial visitation will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, January 18, 2013 and from 4-6PM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel, 84 Broad Street, Portsmouth. Flowers will be accepted. Please wear a little green on you to show your support as that was her favorite color.
